With the cold weather lately, I realize just how much I love when the sun shines! I followed Keri Smith's idea ad drew the sun in my journal.....I wanted to make a journal just for her 100 ideas but I haven't found the perfect journal yet so I just swiped this idea for my list and put it in one of my main journals. It's not perfect, I'll be the first to admit I can't draw. My journal is lined and I had limited colors. I did find a nice lemon scented(mmm!) Crayola marker. It took me less than 5 minutes but it felt really good! I think it also helped my goal of embracing my inner 8 year old. I would love to do it again, start the 100 ideas journal and maybe make more terrible drawings that make me happy. I'm also realy excited about fingerpainting. Just gotta remember this is for me not like I'm trying to win an art contest :)

Dealt rather badly with a family member's gambling problem and another family member's pending divorce, quit my sucky yet high paying call center job, worried excessively about money, fell deeper in love with my boyfriend, turned 25, took a month off, got a little bit better call center job with less pay, went to school, had a ton of ear infections, migraines, and colds (got a cold now blah!!) got myself deeper in debt.......worked in a nursing home for a week....became a certified nursing assistant and home health aide....was in a blizzard....had a white christmas...
Hmmm one thing I noticed that is when something bad would happen, I would quit working on my goals for a while.....This is something I really need to get over for next year! I'm praying 2010 will be my year! Time to get over this cold I got and get moving lol

Cameron Tuttle is awesome.....I've read two of her books & have the journal(that I've yet to write in) and love them. However I am not sure I could ever live up to the bad girl thing. I'm just been way too sheltered and innocent my whole life, but it would be fun to try.
Also, I found a new book that I love Keri Smith's Living Out Loud. It's filled with all kinds of creative goodies that I am finding very helpful. One thing I really like is her focus on journals. I've had such a hard time keeping a journal because I've always worried that someday someone might find it and not find it good enough or interesting enough. What I'm learning from the book is that it's all about being creative and not caring about what others think about it. Her website is equally pleasing, with her illustrations and inspiring things. I definitely want to start a journal of her 100 ideas and read more of her books.
